no gimiks last week other than the suprise dinner party that teeny had - yes it's season three already as argem said but it's still fun and her AVP is really funny! i really commend russel for composing such a cool song for teeny! grabeh! to the highest level of love na talaga yun!

mike finally acknowledge ILTD last sunday at their jam session @ jam 88.3! wuhoo! very cool! nice move drummerboy and thanks for the shout outs!

last night was a good night and fun fun fun! i needed it and i'm so glad to spend time with my girlfriends - GO ILTD! okay, i've missed hanging out with iya and joko and ritz too! sana lang talaga next time mag-sing-along at sumayaw na si ritz! hmph! ayaw talagang magpadala sa buyo namin! in fairness, first time nabuo ng ILTD - orginal batch and ang saya-saya pano pare-parehon mga loka-loka! hehehe! i love you girls! we are so cool - psychos is what makes us happy!

cueshé played songs from their 1st and second album and almost no cover song - i think except for with or without you by u2 - which i think we requested or i think we harrased ruben to sing it otherwise he won't get his new superman belt! sarap utuin ni ruben - winner ang smile at twinkling eyes! superman belt can do wonders! hehe!

psychos and back to me

the highlight of my week would probably be dealing with the psychos that think that they are normal and who thought that acting strange and weird is acceptable to people. fine, i admit that i act strange too from time to time but no way i would say that i acted psychotically - well maybe once when i wanted to go to hong kong and china alone but that's all in the past and trust me im trying to save something special that i though i have. plus most of my friends think that it's sweet and that i can burn some money really fast.

i've been listening to cueshe's second album everyday since i got it last week, definitely big improvement compared to their first album. my top 5 fave songs are as follows:

1. pasensiya na - words and music by jovan mabini and it is one of the two tagalong songs in the album, both tagalog songs were writtten by jovan which really surprised a lot of people including his band mates. the song is about liking someone and not being able to express it the way you want to - it's like having a crush and you can't act normal when around her/him. a really cute song and catchy too.

2. all i want - words by ruben caballero and music by jovan mabini, this is one of the two songs that the vocalist wrote apparently for his pretty wife. i liked this song because the message is simple - wanting to be with your love one plus ruben sang it very well, it's like you can feel how he really loves his wifey.

3. broken intio pieces - words by ruben caballerro and music by jovan mabini, as mentioned above ruben wrote two songs and this is the other one that he wrote - yes i like both! hehe! i like this song because it sounded very alternative - very matchbox twenty so it's really cool since i love matchbox twenty. once again ruben's voice stood out in this song and it's nice - i like it. lyrics wise, i can say words were simple but yet most guys can relate it to it for sure and i heard that ruben wrote this one for his wife as well.

4. i won't let you down - words by mike manaloto and music by jovan mabini, before i state why i like this song i would like to shout out - GO JOVAN! WHEW! IDOL! . okay, so most of the people would think or would expect that my 5 fave songs from the album would compromise mostly of what mike wrote since a lot of people knows that he's my fave but then ruben's songs are more my type. i think mike wrote about 4 songs for the album but surprisingly i only love this song. (well, i like i do too but that would probably be my sixth fave song from the album). this song is about chances - whether 2nd, 3rd or 4th just chances and being able to prove that you can change and be a better partner for the one you love which is really cute and the music is very catchy - again, GO JOVAN!

5. jealous guy (cover song) - words and music by john lennon, a revival and a really old song but ruben and jay's vocals for this song is really really good! awesome! splendid! breathtaking! amazing! really good! you can almost feel their emotions and they really sound sorry, sincere and jealous! hehe! i would like to commend jay specifically i would say that his voice in this song is really something that i thought did not come from him - or something like there's a different feel in the way he sang this song.

okay, all in all i would give this album a rating of 8 (10 being the highest) why? well, becasue this is like their album - i mean they wrote the songs, put in music, conceptualize - it's like their baby and i know how hard they all worked for this album. okay, other than that reason it's a good album - honestly speaking, not just becasue im a fan or a friend but their compositions are really good and jovan did a good job of putting music to 11 out of 12 songs in the album (if john lennon needs help - im sure he can trust jovan to help him), i didn't see that coming honestly so kudos to you jovan for being so cool and good! galing!! and wow, i can't believe jovan wrote 2 tagalog songs - unbelievable!

Cueshe's 2nd album is already out in the market for only 285 pesos under Song-Bmg. I hope you guys could grab a copy and enjoy! Support OPM!

cueshe overload

today is monday and a holiday due to ninoy aquino's death anniversary.

i almost went to all the gigs of cueshe last week - i did not make it last thursday though! sayang! complete attendance sana ako, but then parang ganun na din yun kase morning na natapos ang gig nila sa padis and i watched them live at unang hirit! whohho! okay so i'm a bit on the panic side (not really - just want to exaggerate a bit!) since they will be gone next month for their pilipinas tour thing, hence i made sure that i see them as much as possible since i know that i won't be able to go to their out of town shows. i really had this weird calling to be a groupie but then i love my mom more and i don't want her to die of a heart attack that will trigger if i do abandon my work and just be plain psychotic groupie for cueshe. that would be cool though....hehehe!

okay so monday was the mtv pilipinas thing with cueshe, miki, ritz and jeman, tuesday was cueshe's album launching @ robinson's galleria, i met up with ritz and mean at g4 - then met up with joko and miki @ galleria. cueshe did this human store visit thing before they did the launching - it is where they shopped and made pacute and stuffs. i would say that their album launch was successful, lots of people came - they sold good amount of cd's and they sang most of their new songs and we had fun because it's been a while since joko, miki, ritz, che, jeman, and cueshe were together in one roof! okay, after the launch we met up with marco alcaraz at gloria jeans where i made him lambing to have his picture taken wearing the mike cap and he agreed! yehey! so wafu na, so nice pa! hehe!! after rob, joko, miki and i headed south and ate at congo grille - it was more of a midnight snack and we ate rice and about 4 ulams! hehe! takaw! goodbye diet! hehe! okay wednesday is the padis alabang gig, i went with miki again and had a good time although the crowd is weird but it got better when ruben sang i don't wanna miss a thing - thanks to my 500 pesos! hehehe! and got to meet new friends too - really interesting! plus i got to hang out with jeman's twins which i truly adore because they are nice girls! woke up early to watch cueshe at unang hirit! kaso twice lang sila perform tas putol pa yung last part - ho-hum! so, thursday is my rest day and this is when i was able to catch up with my sleep! yey! so i slept early but have to wake up early the next day too because cueshe is on breakfast show at studio 23! whew!

friday is their video launch and album promo at eastwood - im hesitant to go since miki, joko and ritz are not going but i don't want to disappoint jeman and i know that i can always hang-out with him so i did go and it's a good thing i did cause i had uber fun. so, jeman allowed me to join them at their hide-away to witness the meet and greet contest thing that cueshe did with their fans, i was with alleli and cathy plus mr. sarthou and clarke. jovan's hirits are funny, so is fritz and jay's photographic skills are wacky too. it was all good! good night til the wee hours of the morning. i was able to hang out with cathy, alleli, karess, jeman, and cheryl at cheesecake after cueshe's appereance at eastwood. we ate a lot - a lot of sweets! ay ang tindi sa dami pero ang sarap and it was a necessity for good bonding! it was i think almost 3am or so when we decided to call it a night and go home.

im supposed to watch chicosci with joko but she did not make it and when cheryl and i decided to just go and watch - we can't why? too crowded and the guys are already on the stairs part of gweilos. sayang, we practiced pa naman how we'll do the body slam thing when it's time to head bang and really rock n roll! hehe! so i just stalked mong alcaraz outside gweilos and had my picture taken! wuhooo! wish joko was there!

all in all i would say that it was a good week, physically tiring and my wallet got really thin but it's worth it - i can say it is!

by the way, i got lots of new pics for my photo project with mikes cap and im delighted - next stop chuck and friends! hehe! oh, i can't wait - it'll be fun! okay i still have to take karess and joko's picture with the cap on! next mission! and i should include the P.A.'s too after all i persuaded omeng to pose for me...hehe! yehey!

2006 mtv pilipinas music video awards

okay now, we finally made it to one of the awards show - jeman has been inviting us for the nth time (myx & pasiklaband) to go pero parati kaming hindi pwede...so when he invited us again ay game na kami talaga! yahoo!!

so thank you jeman and cueshe for the VIP tix - we loves you and i hope you'd invite us again next year because i had sooooo much fun!

the awards night was held at casino filipino @ pque last august 14,2006, i went with ritz, miki, jeman, cueshe plus mr. myke sarthou and sir clarke. cueshe won the smart hitmaker of the year awards for their song sorry and they also did the introducing part before the performance of their fellow cebuano band urbandub. sadly, they didn't bag the new artist of the year award which was won by the bosa girl Sitti, sayang cause she was not there to receive her award. Don't fret cueshe i'm sure may next year pa!

yeah, i saw a lot of wafu guys talaga - wafu and sikat! there's champ of hale, ely buendia of pupil, yael of spongecola, mong of sandwich/chicosci, christian bautista, yam of pupil, mark of rivermaya, JD of INXS, Migs Ayesa and a whole lot more!

oh yes! i finally have a pic with ely buendia! (we're not worthy!) it's like one of my life goals! hehe! i love eraserheads and their songs are like a part of my growing up years! (pare ko was released when i was in grade 6) wuhooo! so therefore i'm so happy to finally have a picture with him. miki and i are still star strucked, i can't even call his name when he passed by and it's a good thing that jeman was with us! wuhohoh!! we love you jeman kahit nakakasindak ka minsan! i'm sorry if i cheered for hale when they won, i just find champ really cute! the batok thing is so memorable! haha! buti na lang napigilan namin ni miki yung sa spongecola - muntik ng mag-part two ang batok at baka mabato na kami ng banda! hehehe!!

miki's birthday eve

08.09.06 barely two days before miki's 18th b-day, got a text message from joko - she can't make it tomorrow, she is sick! which means i don't have a ride home the next day. anung meron the next day? it's miki's b-day eve and she wants to watch cueshe live at rastky's morato. i know that miki's looking forward to going to that gig and she's kinda nervous about having a sucky 18th birthday. my driver can't take me to morato and he can't definitely pick me up as well...what to do? miki's pissed with the thought that she might have to go to morato alone - on her b-day eve. hmmmm....thought of how i can accompany her without joko, bert, my metallic blue xwind, and without getting into trouble.

08.10.06 still not sure if i can make it to cueshe's gig, cheryl is contemplating about not going as well since i'm not sure if i'll make it. i know how important this gig is to miki so i decided to go with her to the gig and just take a cab going home even if it will cost me an arm and a leg! after all this is not just an ordinary day! miki will turn 18 - legal age!we meet up at g4 at around 630, went to odyssey - to reserve cueshe's upcoming album and buy some cd's. we then took a cab going to gateway - super traffic sa edsa but we have to choice. we need to buy a filet-o-fish sandwich for a certain band member which lead to buying food for all of the band members

after ordering the food at mcdo, the lady in the counter asked us maam sa inyo po lahat yan? hahaha! Ang dami kase naming binili tas puro go large! Mwahaha! We have to wait for like 15mins for jacks filet-o-fish, after which we rode another taxi – on the way to Ermin Garcia st. to be delivery girls! sir, delivery po! Mwahaha! Funny! Miki and I have a new friend and his name is rolan thats without d talaga! He’s nice and he will help us stalk kean! Haha!

The best part of watching 6cm practice is that I got to seat beside ney while he was singing and I was across tutti while he was banging his drums – but nothing beat the text messages that miki and I exchanged while the band is jammin! unahan and the obstacle that we have to go through is really funny! ok we're not bored or whatever, i guess being confined in a small, sound proof room with 6cm is a bit akward yet cool. their manager is nice too and seems to know a lot about advertising, but i would say rolan is still the best - hands down!

after their practice, chuck dropped us off at morato to watch cueshe gig! syempre as always we had fun! hehe! super hyper namin as always at super pinagkaguluhan si ruben when he sang i don't wanna miss a thing. grabeh yung mga reaction ng mga girls - super kilig! hehe! icueshe greeted miki - jay read my tissue message, so im pretty sure that it made miki smile.

overall i think miki had a great birthday eve and im glad to be a part of it! even the last part of the night was good. no bullshit last night - therefore everybody happy!

i'm so sleepy today so good luck sa party ni miki later - i hope may energy pa ako to have fun, feeling ko 9pm lang sleepy na ako! waaah! again happy 18th birthday miki! legal age! yeah!

bits and pieces.b-day lunch

I’m done watching all 3 seasons of The OC and I’m looking forward to season 4! the series is addicting! Spent almost two weeks of watching it after work, before going to sleep and before going to work! hehe! I love Seth the most because he is funny, he's sweet, he's really a good friend and he screws up - which really happens in real life and part of being a human. i hate Marisa the most because she's stupid - and it seems that she's always not contented with what she has or she always ends up doubting Ryan when in fact she is so dense and she literally attracts trouble. so therefore i love how season three ended. mwahaha!

i am now hooked on watching One Tree Hill, it also has three seasons but i'm just on my 4th episode on season 1 so i still got a long way to go. Some of my friends told me that The OC is better than One Tree Hill, so let's see what i think about the two tv series after watching OTH.

i recently discovered a new kind of dvd - it's called dvd-9 and it can store about 22 or more episodes of a tv series like The OC, One Tree Hill, CSI etc. it costs about 100-120 pesos - hence making dvd shopping more cheaper especially if you love to buy the series types of dvds! so, that's good for me since i love buying dvd's of tv series - for sure it's cheaper and really cheap! hahaah! since i discovered it i already bought one tree hill, csi las vegas, my girl and a love to kill. looking for everybody loves raymond, west gate, dawsons creek and beverly hills 90210 in dvd-9 format. whohohoh! for sure it'll be a treat.

it's digna and sheryl's b-day so we decided to treat them out for lunch. we ate at geris grill in insular bldg. near our office, we ate a lot for sure - we can't even laugh so hard and walk that fast sa sobrang kabusugan.

will meet up with miki tonight to celebrate her 18th b-day - i hope we'll have fun. sayang joko won't make it tonight...get well soon joko! we loves you! hope we could see tom instead!

hard rock

okay, the hard rock gig last night is a sony-bmg artist showcase thing where in about 6 or so bands performed. this is something we did not plan on going to but the spur of the moment thing happened again and we got lucky!

before the event, miki and i met up at tower records - she was around 30 minutes late coz her bus stopped in the middle of express way - flat tire. so after meeting up we then proceeded to hard rock where chuck is patiently waiting for us (i can't believe that he's an early bird kind of guy), introductions were made and i should say the rest was history.

except for cueshe (who performed last), it's the first time i watched the other bands performed. the other bands are: 6cyclemind, pupil, callalily, craeons, and mano-mano. oh, lovi poe also performed! 6cycle mind is good, i like them before pa and it's a good thing i saw them perform live. i love their songs especially "I" and will try to listen to collide which is miki and chucks fave, afterall chucky wrote that song! oh yeah i love chuck, he is so funny, so daldal, conyotic, super thoughtful, nice and sweet - wow! that sounds like an ideal boyfriend! haha! super galing manggaya, super pwedeng mag-stand up comedian. tutti is cool too, cute and nice - maybe i have a thing for drummers! hehe! ely buendia is wafu and he has this effect on us - natutulala kami ni miki pag nakikita namin siya! mwahaha! whohoho!! callalily is pretty okay too plus their vocalist is hot! still young but definitely hot and i can say that given the right exposures and if their manager handles them well, they will go a long way pa and for sure they will have a spot on the top. anyhow, being in the band room is sooo cool! Never been in one room with that much band members until last night! hahaha! thank you jack! mwahaha!!

it's exactly 27 days since i last saw cueshe - wow that long huh? it probably is, because jay and ruben's hair are already long, mike gained weight and jovan missed us! hehehe!! anyhow, even if i we heard them perform a lot of times already we still had the urge to groove and shout and sing along with them - maybe absence makes the fans grow fonder? hehe!! ay ewan!

hindi kami uminom ni miki last night not even a single drop of alcohol, why? i don't know! hehe! maybe we don't feel like drinking because seeing all those people makes us tipsy na!

nothing much has happened to me, my social life is not as active as before - i have lots of work, meetings, some personal dilemmas and nowadays i prefer to just stay at home and watch THE OC in dvd hehe! it is really addicting! i love seth and summer - cute couple, funny and really sweet too. i love how seth can talk and talk and talk but then he still have sense and i love it when he analyze things/situations then coming up with absurd conclusion or plans that will eventually not work. maybe i just love a funny guy who can be sensitive too when it comes to her special someone. i'm about to finish season 2 and i can't wait to start with season 3!

I also has a lot of personal dilemma brewing and there are times when I just want to tell someone everything that is going on to my mind but then it is something that I really don't usually do. as a Gemini I tend to solve my problems on my own meaning I don't share and bother anyone with whatever's worrying me. I used to think that it has something to do with how I was brought up but as I get to know other friends who have the same zodiac sign I gather that they tend to dwell on problem on their own too, hence blaming my I-can-solve-my-problems-on-my-own attitude to my being a Gemini. anyhow, my indecisiveness kicks in again as I face a choice between fantasy and reality, yeah it's fun to be living in fantasy however sooner or later reality will kick in therefore ruining the fantasy and will more or less end in pain or regrets. I honestly don't believe in what if's because we always have a choice and whatever the result is, it will reflect the choice that you made thus must not lead to questioning oneself or regretting the decision that resulted to the choice we made. However, we are just human and oftentimes feelings are involved in making decisions which makes everything harder and more complicated. Moreover if we did hurt someone it always if not often results to the question of: did i make the right choice or decision?

I’m yet to make the choice and I know now that whatever my decision is - it will definitely hurt someone. i'm probably delaying it because i don't want to hurt anyone, who wants to hurt someone? nevertheless, it's part of life and we have to accept that shit happens and that somethings are not meant to be even if it makes you happy.

on a lighter note, i have a new cellphone! yey for that! it's N70 color black and silver, i can say that this new gadget is what making me sane this past few days - well, other than talking and texting my friends!

hana, my cousin is inviting me to accompany her on friday to watch hale at eastwood, i don't know if i can go - i want to see them perform though but i still love cueshe just want to check out the competition and do something fun - it's been a while.
